We have many volunteering opportunities within the Norwich area, and parts of North Norfolk. Below we have selected from our waiting list, four example profiles of members who are looking to be matched with a befriender.
A 28 year old lady who likes walking, music, bingo, swimming and going to the pub would like to befriended by a female of similar age, who is a lively and bubbly person. Ideally would like to go out every fortnight and lives in the North Walsham area.
A 51 year old man who likes fishing (especially sea fishing), bowling, darts, snooker and chatting would like to be befriended by a male who is out going and chatty, age is not an issue. He would like to go out regularly and enjoy the other persons company. He lives in the Cromer area.
A lady in her early forties would like to meet monthly and go swimming or meet in Norwich on a Saturday for a look around the shops and to go for a coffee. She is a quiet but well spoken person who would benefit from a patient female of any age. She lives close to Norwich and can meet her befriender in Norwich by using public transport.
A 29 year old man from the Norwich area would benefit from a chatty male or female of similar age who enjoys some of his interests which include cars, football and photography. He is a very quiet person with some visual impairment and although he does not have his own transport his parents are usually able to take him to a set meeting place. He would ideally like to meet monthly.
